Our History
1995Dan and Sue Weirback set up shop inside a historic, downtown Easton livery stable and founded Weyerbacher Brewing Company - honoring the original German spelling of their immigrant ancestors.
1997In a landscape dominated by light, uniform lagers, Weyerbacher broke the mold with their first high-gravity specialty brew, a Raspberry Imperial Stout. This daring, quickly defined the brewery's identity.
Early 2000sWeyerbacher earned
a passionate following for complex, deeply
flavorful Belgian-style ales like Merry Monks and Quad.
Later yearsNever afraid of intensity, they pushed boundaries further by mastering
barrel-aged creations
like Insanity and Heresy.
2012This spirit of mischief and masterful brewing was perfectly encapsulated when the brewery introduced its iconic jester mascot, cementing Weyerbacher's legacy as a true original in the American craft beer movement.
