Weyerbacher Update October 18, 2012

Greetings from your friends at Weyerbacher! It’s been a while since we’ve reached out to you and as a result there’s a lot to tell you. In this newsletter, we’ll tell you about the brewery facility expansion progress, rebranding and some of our upcoming beer releases.

Rebranding
The rebranding project is really picking up steam. By now you have probably seen our new packaging for Merry Monks, Old Heathen, Last Chance IPA, Blithering Idiot, Double Simcoe IPA, Verboten, Imperial Pumpkin Ale and Autumnfest. If you haven’t seen them yet, click through the year round beers and the seasonal beers sections of the website.

Upcoming Beer Releases
Quad, Winter Ale and Riserva are the next beers to be released and each will have its own new label as well! The Riserva 2012 barrels are about ready to be emptied and bottled! After a rest for bottle conditioning, we’ll plan a special engagement here at the brewery for you to come down and tour the brewery, meet the brewers and sample the brews. You’ll be able to buy it here, too!

On the subject of new releases, Brewers’ Select Series “X-Ray” will be available at the Visitors Center this Friday, October 19th! X-Ray is a “Robust Porter” weighing in at 6.7% ABV. Chocolate and coffee notes run through this aggressively-bittered, pitch black robust porter. X-RAY is kettle-hopped with Fuggles and EK Goldings and dry hopped with more EK Goldings, giving it an earthy and fruity English character to go with its American sensibilities. The Visitors Center is the only place you can buy our Brewers’ Select beers in 12 oz. bottles. X-Ray has been shipped out to our wholesalers (draft only) and will begin popping Cialis Online up in bars and restaurants throughout our distribution area. This is a once and done brew so be sure to get it before it’s gone!

Cellaring Beer
With Quad in the immediate future and Insanity and Heresy not far away (early 2013), take a look at this article about cellaring beer. It should answer any questions you may have about how to properly care for your beer collection. If you have any questions, please post feedback and we’ll do our best to respond within a day or so!

Building Expansion
The brewery addition is nearly finished! The plans to move the fermenters, filtration, brite tanks and bottling line are underway. We are now working on wiring, painting, glycol coolant lines and compressed air lines. We should begin moving the equipment in December. Click here to see a brief photo history from the ground breaking through today.

Last Chance IPA Update
Last Chance IPA is our new year round India Pale Ale offering with a philanthropic twist. We donate a portion of the proceeds of the sale of every drop of this beer to local animal welfare organizations. Sales have been going very well and as a result, the donations have been adding up! We’re extremely happy and proud that we have been able to donate a total of $9,881.50 in the five short months since we began shipping Last Chance IPA! Click here to read about Last Chance IPA and see the beneficiaries to date!

Be sure to check us out on Facebook and Twitter for up-to-the-minute details from our reps on events as they’re planned – especially for Eastern PA, Philly, NJ and NYC.

Cheers!
