Weyerbacher

Welcome Home Surprise!

On 29 September, 2012, Weyerbacher’s Visitors Center was given the opportunity to help in a surprise ‘Welcome Home’ reception for the family and friends of a US Naval Officer coming home from deployment to Afghanistan.  His wife told us “he was looking forward to filling his Merry Monks growler as soon as he got home.”  Weyerbacher Visitors Center employees decorated the otherwise pretty spartan [and industrially ugly] tasting area with streamers, banners, flags and balloons along with two banners supplied by Levitra the soldier’s wife…  one of which was finger painted by their kids and could even make a brick cry.  Regardless of your stance on the war and related politics, this was an opportunity for the brewery to do something for the friends and family of someone serving our country.  We thank Lt. Commander Patterson for his service and welcome him home!  Cheers!

Again, I really can’t thank you enough for all you did for my husband! It turned out to be SO much cooler than I could have ever imagined and is truly something that we’ll never forget!

Just another good reason of many that I’m happy to support such a good company that makes great beer.

Welcome home Lt. Commander Patterson, and thank you for your service!
