Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Old Heathen (8.0% ABV) is a truly distinctive stout. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew.
Tiny is a Belgian inspired Imperial Stout weighing in at 11.8%. You’ll find big chocolate and roasted notes, balanced with the Belgian flavors from the Abbey yeast strain.
Verboten is a Belgian-style Pale Ale with an American twist. It’s brewed with Pale, Carahell and Wheat malts and generously hopped with Cascade to give it a distinctly American character. Weyerbacher brews the house IPA, “Big Ern’s IPA”, for the Pizzeria Uno chain of restaurants in the Philadelphia area. Big Ern’s IPA is a 6% West Coast-Style India Pale Ale with a very smooth, citrusy finish hopped with Cascade, Centennial, Columbus, and Simcoe.

My favorite is your Merry Monks’. I would like to see you brew more Balgian styles. Maybe a Farmhouse Ale (Saison) or a Belgian Blond Ale.
Old Heathen has to be the best imperial stout I’ve had. Every time I have one I can’t get over how good it is. Also, it makes for a great black/tan with any ipa. Also, I love Merry Monks. Really happy that I found out about Weyerbacher beer.

Merry Monks, IMHO, is one of the best “introduction” beers available.
For folks drinking the BudMillerCoorsCorona swill, Merry Monks provides an easy break… as opposed to other big beers that have too much alcohol or density hanging around, or bitter IPA’s.
Merry Monks offers something sweet, as well as highly alcoholic. It at least causes drinkers to reconsider what beer can be.
That said… add Verbotten to the year-round line-up… even if that means making MM a seasonal treat.

Just picked up a 6-pack of Old Heathen on a whim and I am SOLD. This stuff is fantastic! I’m very curious about Merry Monks now…I didn’t see it in the store where I got the Old Heathen so I’ll have to track it down.
Thanks, E! MM is the most widely-available style so you should be able to find it without much trouble at all. It comes in 750ml and 12 oz bottles.
Keep up the great work. Blithering idiot is a wonderful beer with a clean finish. Its hard to find in small town USA, but its worth the effort.
Finally found Verboten and Muse up in Athens yesterday, I live in Atlanta but we really get a scattering of Weyerbacher beers, Fireside and Autumnfest both aren’t sold anywhere locally either. No one can tell me anything about Blasphemy though, did we get it this year or did it not make it this far South? Really, really want to try it.
PLEASE don’t drink that Muse; it is about 3 years old and will not taste as was intended. As was Muse, Autumnfest and Fireside are seasonal beers and come out only once a year in just in advance of the season for which they are intended. Georgia has access to all the same beers as the rest of our distributors in other states. Develop a relationship with the beer purchaser in your favorite store and begin requesting the beers you are looking for in advance of their release dates and you will have better luck. Cheers!
I did end up drinking the Muse, I figured if it was bad I could pour it out, but it was still very, very good. If the age made it suffer I can’t imagine how good it was fresh because I was thoroughly impressed. Might go get a few more now. As a side note the Thirteen ages incredibly well, had my second one and it was even better than the first a few months ago. Eager to buy the rest of their stock up on that one for sure.
Your Double Simcoe IPA is one f-ing good beer! Major props on concocting such a great brew!
Heard about you guys on WIP’s summer beer brawl! Macnow and Gargano’s raving about Merry Monk made me try it; Six pack and a case later, it’s my absolute favorite! Looking forward to trying more!

In MD, you can use http://www.greatbrewers.com to search our beers and locate where individual stores and bar/restaurants have recently brought the beer in! Check it out! As for Big Ern;s, you’ll have to travel to the Philadelphia area to enjoy it on draft at a local Pizzaria Uno’s… it isn’t packaged in anything other than kegs for them. Cheers!
I heard a rumor that Hops Infusion will soon be discontinued, please reconsider. It is incredibly hard to find bold IPAs that aren’t overbearing or prohibitively expensive. You nailed it with that one.

We’re definitely replacing Hops Infusion. Good news is that the test batch IPA ‘Crimson’ scored the highest marks from the people who drank it and so we think it is an excellent upgrade. Hops Infusion is a good beer, no doubt; I have it on draft at home! Buy some Hops Infusion now and enjoy it while it lasts and then (if you care to do so), please try the as yet unnamed new IPA and then come back here and reply to this comment with your review! I suspect you will like it more… that’s the whole reason we’re doing this! Cheers!

I actually just did, too! I have HI on draft at home and opened a bottle of LCIPA side-by-side. I think the new beer is the HI of the present, so to speak. My OH kicked… maybe I will have LCIPA and HI on tap side by side at home? Hmmm…… :^)

Was just introduced to your selections from a friend; our local deli (north eastern PA) carries Merry Monks. Love the brew, taste, and flavor. Thanks for taking pride in your beer, and distributing a great product.
For those who love the Double Simcoe IPA, try also Victory’s Yakima Glory, which is a seasonal. Like Warsteiner’s Dunkel, it will make the Weyerbacher all the more desirable. Three of the greatest beers ever; they complement each other well, and we all need a little palate relief occasionally.

Sorry, Sc’Eric! We retired that beer last year and removed it from our website due to a conflict over the name from another brewery. It was a technicality but we’re happy to not make too many waves in the industry when it comes to branding.
